The sandbox behaves like the live gateway and charges nothing. The outcome is chosen by the card number, so any scenario can be reproduced on demand.
Test cards
Any expiry date in the future, any CVC, any holder name. The number decides what happens.

A refusal
The order must stay open and the customer must be able to try again
A double callback
Send the same notification twice and check nothing doubles
An expired page
Leave the page until it runs out and check the order closes correctly
A partial refund
Refund part of the amount and compare your status with ours
A wrong signature
Post to your own callback address with a broken signature; it must be rejected
