Before we switch you to live
These are the same checks our support runs. Going through them yourself first is the difference between a quiet launch and a loud one.
Payment
- A successful payment: the customer returns and the order is marked paid
- A refusal: the order stays open and the customer sees a clear reason
- The amount is created on your server, never taken from the browser
- The page timing out closes the order correctly
Callback
- The signature is verified and a broken one is rejected
- The same notification twice changes nothing the second time
- The handler answers within a couple of seconds and works afterwards
- The status is confirmed by reading the payment before goods are released
Refund
- A full refund and a partial one both go through
- Your order status matches ours after a refund
- The person who can refund on your side is not the person who ships
Security and operations
- Keys live in the environment, not in the repository
- Sandbox and live keys cannot be mixed up by accident
- Payment errors reach a log a human actually reads
- Someone on your side knows what to do when a customer says the money left but the order did not
